Documentation Updates

This section contains information about documentation content changes made to the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server Storage Administration Guide since the initial release of SUSE® Linux Enterprise Server 10. If you are an existing user, review the change entries to readily identify modified content. If you are a new user, simply read the guide in its current state.

Refer to the publication date, which appears on the title page, to determine the release date of this guide. For the most recent version of the SUSE Linux Enterprise Server Storage Administration Guide, see the Novell documentation Web site for SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 10.

In this section, content changes appear in reverse chronological order, according to the publication date. Within a dated entry, changes are grouped and sequenced alphabetically. Each change entry provides a link to the related topic and a brief description of the change.

Updates were made to the following section. The changes are explained below.

Installing and Managing DRBD Services

The following change was made to this section:

Managing Multipath I/O

The following changes were made to this section:

Section 5.4.5.4, “Blacklisting Non-Multipathed Devices in /etc/multipath.conf”	The keyword devnode_blacklist has been deprecated and replaced with the keyword blacklist.
Section 5.8, “Configuring Multipath I/O for the Root Device”	Added Step 4 and Step 6 for System Z.
Section 5.11, “Scanning for New Partitioned Devices without Rebooting”	Corrected the syntax for the command lines in Step 2.
Section 5.11, “Scanning for New Partitioned Devices without Rebooting”	Step 7 replaces old Step 7 and Step 8.

Managing Software RAIDs 6 and 10 with mdadm

The following change was made to this section:
