4.2. Installation auf einer LPAR

  1. Überprüfen Sie die Hardware-Anforderungen. Siehe auch Abschnitt „Hardware Requirements“ (Kapitel 1, Requirements, ↑Architecture-Specific Information).

  2. Überprüfen Sie die Software-Anforderungen. Siehe auch Abschnitt „Software Requirements“ (Kapitel 1, Requirements, ↑Architecture-Specific Information).

  3. Bereiten Sie einen VNC–Client für die Installation vor. Siehe auch Abschnitt „Einfache Installation mit entferntem Zugriff über VNC – Statische Netzwerkkonfiguration“ (Kapitel 4, Installation mit entferntem Zugriff, ↑Installation und Administration).

  4. Bereiten Sie das System firmware- oder i5/OS-seitig vor:

    • Spezifische Informationen zu iSeries finden Sie im Abschnitt „Preparing an Installation on IBM iSeries Models“ (Kapitel 2, Preparation, ↑Architecture-Specific Information).

    • Spezifische Informationen zu pSeries p630, p655, p670 und p690 finden Sie im Abschnitt „Preparing for Installation on an IBM pSeries Models“ (Kapitel 2, Preparation, ↑Architecture-Specific Information).

    • Spezifische Informationen zu eServer i5/p5, System i5/p5 und OpenPower finden Sie in Abschnitt „Preparing for Installation on IBM eServer i5/p5, System i5/p5, and OpenPower Models“ (Kapitel 2, Preparation, ↑Architecture-Specific Information)

  5. Konfigurieren Sie einen Client für den Zugriff auf das System während der Installation. Siehe auch Abschnitt „Client for the Operation of the Installation Software“ (Kapitel 2, Preparation, ↑Architecture-Specific Information).

  6. Richten Sie für iSeries die IPL-Quelle auf dem i5/OS ein. Weitere Informationen finden Sie in Abschnitt „IPL: Starting the NWSD (WRKCFGSTS *NWS)“ (Kapitel 2, Preparation, ↑Architecture-Specific Information).

  7. Installieren Sie die Software und führen Sie eine grundlegende Netzwerkkonfiguration aus. Siehe auch Kapitel Installation mit YaST (↑Installation und Administration).
