VistaDB features a built-in ADO.NET Provider that supports SQL and Direct Data Access objects that provide object-based high-speed scrollable and updateable cursors. VistaDB's SQL query processor supports T-SQL syntax and VistaDB's data types are 1:1 compatible with SQL Server. A high degree of compatibility with SQL Server 2005 means existing T-SQL statements can be re-used with virtually no changes and source code that uses SQL Server can be re-used with minor changes to namespaces and class references.
