YCP Values

YCP values are the primary way of communicating of YaST components. The following values are implemented:

Simple values:

• YCPNull no value - typically error during internal communication
• YCPVoid nil value
• YCPBoolean boolean value
• YCPInteger signed 64-bit integer
• YCPFloat double floating point
• YCPString UTF-8 encoded string

Special values:

• YCPByteblock array of bytes (e.g. image)
• YCPCode executable code written in YCP language
• YCPExternal pointer

Complex values:

• YCPList list/array of YCP values
• YCPMap map/hash of YCP values, key/value pairs
• YCPPath special ordered list of YCP values
• YCPTerm constant structure of YCP values
