This isn't a "hack" of Fvwm2 as in the case of Fvwm2-95. Rather, it's look and feel lie solely with the ~/.fvwm2rc and ~/.Xdefaults files, as well as the provided "Icon Sheet", in which you can cut and paste the appropriate icons. I've done this rather than include individual .xpm's, in order to cut down on the file size.

This .tgz file should contain the following:

system.fvwm2rc (move to ~/.fvwm2rc)
Xdefaults (move to ~/.Xdefaults, or cut and paste the appropriate lines
               to your own)
README This info file
icons.gif Icon Sheet
sun.xpm Sun logo background
sun3.xpm Sun logo background (mine)
raindrop.xpm CDE's Raindrop background
md6.gif What your desktop should look like if everything went ok.
xfmrc My default moxfm rc file

You'll love it! Provided that you name the icons in the Icon Sheet (where I ran out of room, assume a .xpm extension on all icon file names) appropriately, you'll be left with a Front Panel-like buttonbar that is extrememly functional and configurable insofar as your own menu and apps names.

You should make the following part of your Linux/X window "Get that!" list:

1. Motif-static-binaries (you don't need the motif libs, they're 'buried' in the binary)

a. Moxfm (the file manager icons in the Icon Sheet will work with xfm as well)
    http://sugra.desy.de/user/mai/moxfm

b. Netscape
c. llnlxftp

2. Terminals

a. xterm (sb_right_ansi_3d) New xterm available at Sunsite - w/ right-handed
    scrollbar and ansi support

3. Other Nice Stuff

a. FileRunner (Tcl/Tk)
b. Dialer (included in the TkGoodStuff distribution)
c. The Xaw3d libs
d. The latest Tcl/Tk libs (and *ack* all the damn extensions thereof that it
seems every program needs *another-one* of...)

A CDE Icon repository exists at: http://wwwcn1.cern.ch/project/cde/icons/vue/icons/

The "Mini-Icons" used in the pop-up menu are part of the Fvwm2-95 distribution

"Asclock" used in the buttonbar can be found at: Sunsite/pub/linux/X11/xutils/clocks/

Enjoy!!!
