YaST2 Exit Codes

All applications using liby2 library share a common main function. The function handles the exit codes in the following way.

The exit codes are described in exitcodes.h header file. A special handling is applied to the value returned from the client.

• If a value is YCPNull or YCPVoid, exitcode YAST_OK will be used.
• If the value is YCPBoolean, YAST_OK will be returned for true, YAST_CLIENTRESULT for false.
• If the value is YCPInteger, the value will be added to YAST_CLIENTRESULT and the resulting integer will be the process exitcode.
• If the value is YCPSymbol, for names defined by ycp_error_exit_symbols YAST_CLIENTRESULT will be returned, otherwise YAST_OK.
