If File Roller cannot determine the appropriate viewer or application, File Roller tries to use a text viewer to display the file contents. You can also use a viewer or application specified by you, rather than the default viewer or application, to view a file. To use an external application to open a file, choose EditOpen Files. File Roller displays the Open Files dialog, which lists all of the applications that can open files of the specified type.
