The password may be up to 80 characters long. Each of first and last name may be up to 25 characters long. The email reminder frequency determines how often per week you might get reminder emails if you have any tasks that are due or overdue. You may also enter the lead, that is how many days before a task becomes due you will be reminded.
You can switch on or off reminder emails depending on your role with regard to an entry. You may choose to only get reminded of tasks that your are responsible for, or that you are the owner of, or that you manage. You can also set the minimum priority and severity level for reminders; for example you may only want to be reminded of issues with a high priority and high severity.
You can set your preferred language on this page as well. If you choose "browser" the language will be determined by your browsers preferred language settings; otherwise it will use the value you choose in this menu. Be aware of the problems when you choose Chinese or Farsi and you are a Danish national. It might be difficult to find the menu again where to set this back.
Email addresses have to match a certain pattern that is defined by the system administrator (e.g. *.bosch.com, *.daimlerchrysler.com). This feature shall make sure that only users from verified email domains can access the system and are being informed by the system.
The email pattern can be set by the site administrator in the site configuration menu.
Sometimes a user wants to listen in when issues that he is not directly involved in are raised. For that purpose one can register for projects, subsystems and states when an issue is entering that state or is being modified while in that state. Since all users appear together in the "sent to" field of all emails that are sent, everybody can see who is monitoring which issues.
