This feature permits to define template lists, for example for quality gate check lists or test plans, that can then be copied to protocol lists. The plan is defined once, but the test protocol might have to be checked off for each new release or build.
You can copy an entire list to a new one. Each existing item matching the filter criteria on the left is copied to a new list, replacing the existing parameters by the values on the right side. Parent-child relationships are preserved. Links to attachments are copied, but not the attachments themselves.
It is recommended to enumerate the synopsis for each template item, to later on get an ordered list by sorting by synopsis.
When copying to a new project, some attribute values may not exist. In such a case default values are inserted into the new list.
You can set the initial state of all new items.
Since this is a far reaching operation, possibly generating a lot of new data, you need to confirm it by marking the confirmation check box.
