Conflicts sometimes occur between versions of files during synchronization, as files are exchanged between your workstations and the Novell® iFolder® server. Instead of deleting or overwriting those files, iFolder saves the files in your Conflict Bin, up to the space available in the bin. When size limitations are exceeded, iFolder deletes the oldest files to make room for the current save process. Files that exceed the size allotted to the bin are not saved.
You must be logged in to view and manage the files in the Conflict Bin.
Log in to iFolder.
Right-click the iFolder icon located in the system tray.
Click View Conflict Bin.
You can also access the Conflict Bin Viewer from the Account Information page by clicking Account Information > View > View Conflict Bin.
The viewer lists files that were in saved when they were overwritten or deleted during a synchronization.
The iFolder client creates a conflict bin on each workstation. In the Conflict Bin Viewer, you can set the maximum space (in megabytes (MB)) you want to reserve for the files in conflict. The bin size can differ on each workstation. In general, this space should be about 10 percent of the allayed space.
To set the maximum bin size: Click File > Properties, specify the maximum space to reserve, then click OK.
In the Conflict Bin Viewer, click File > Properties. To close the Properties dialog, click Cancel.
You can restore any of the files in the Conflict Bin or permanently delete them from your iFolder directories.
